Activist Week: Thursday

  

  On Thursday, April 21st, West Bloomfield High School will be hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross. The Dress-Up Day will be a "Red Out", so wear as much red as possible. Students have completed forms in order to participate. Students must be 16 years or older and have a quality blood count as determined by the American Red Cross.

Children with Hair Loss

What They Do?

"Children With Hair Loss was created as a resource for ALL CHILDREN who have medically-related hair loss. It is our mission to empower these children to become whole again by making hair replacement available to those who may be financially challenged and might otherwise not have a means of obtaining the hair they want and need.

Our goal is to assist as many of these children as possible in changing their lives by improving their outlook and empowering them with a degree of self-confidence that will allow them to face the world with renewed self-esteem."

What They Need?

As odd as it sound they need our hair. They need people to donate at least 8 inch of hair. Please if you can... Cut it off and give some hair!!! We even have stylists coming in to fix you up the best hair!!!

What To Wear?

Hats!!! That's it!!! It is so simple!!! To support Children with Hair Loss everyone should wear hats!!! 

Also! It is not too late to bring in forms to donate blood and we are still accepting books and canned food!!!

By focusing on positive action, contribution and service to fellow humans, the Be the Change Movement serves as a clearing house of service ideas and inspiration for people everywhere.

“Be the Change” is a service based movement designed for youth and adults of all ages.

“Be the Change” provides immediate hope, inspiration and inclusion to every individual committed to living their lives in service to others.

“Be the Change” is a self perpetuating membership organization open to anyone who shares in it’s vision and principles.

“Be the Change” is a way of life that anyone can live in every moment.

“Be the Change” challenges it’s members to stop waiting for others to change things and to be the heroes they have been waiting for.

The “Be the Change” Movement challenges it members to commit to doing at least one intentional positive act of change each day for the benefit of others.

The “Be the Change” Movement is a movement of “attraction” and inspiration that challenges non-members to consider joining the movement and to “pay forward” any service or contribution they personally benefit from."

What They Need?

In order to help support the Be The Change Club, we need you to donate slightly used or new books!

What Do You Wear?

To support this group, we are having a Green Out!!! Inspired by Dr. Suess's, Green Eggs and Ham we followed his example... so we are greening out!!!

Starting next week is out famous, Activist week. Get excited for a whole week dedicated to those in need. Each day has its own dress up day and a correlating charity to donate towards.

What They Do?

What They Need?

To help support Lighthouse please bring in Canned Good and/or Cleaning supplies. 

What We Wear?

Nautical.... 

Now what is Nautical: Wear stripes, boat shoes, your sailor's cap, basically anything that looks like you are on a boat.
